New logistics centre meets rising demand for needle-free systems
Spirit Medical’s new logistics and distribution centre is helping provide both the NHS and other key medical professionals with a robust and dependable supply chain of essential products, including SecureConnect® needle-free systems.
Connor House is a state-of-the-art facility with over 90,000 square feet of storage space, opened in 2021 to help overcome some of the supply challenges facing the NHS during the COVID pandemic. Centrally located within the UK, directly off the M1, it has one of the industries most advanced training and education centres, supporting customers with unparalleled, bespoke clinical training programmes to help deliver best clinical practice.
Spirit Medical’s new logistics and distribution centre forms part of an ongoing strategy to ensure that customers never experience interruption in the supply of key agreed products such as AirGuard® IV administration sets or SecureConnect® needle-free products.
SecureConnect® is Spirit Medical’s high-quality, high-performance needle-free connection system that includes a complete portfolio of needle-free connectors and extension sets, enabling the safe and effective IV access for infusions for delivery of fluids, drugs and blood sampling.
Every SecureConnect® valve is flat and easy to clean and is compatible with all types of Luer devices including Luer-Slip, Luer-Lock and prefilled glass syringes. It can also be connected to peripheral IV catheters, PICC catheters, Hickman Lines and other central catheters to deliver pump, gravity or bolus infusions. SecureConnect® needle-free connectors are also capable of supporting very high flow rates of up to 1300ml/h and high injection pressures of up to 1200 PSI.
