Our website doesn’t directly set any cookies, however, the WooCommerce plugins we use do. When a user logs in WordPress creates some functional cookies. In addition, when a user leaves a comment or review, they are given the option to ‘save my name, email and website in this browser for the next time I comment’. 

If you create an account on, you will be prompted to select a username and provide an email address. When choosing a username, we recommend that you do not use your own name. Your username will be stored in the website’s database, whilst your email address is used to email you a link so that you can set or reset your password. Once an account is created, in order to have it deleted, you must make a request by contacting us via email. Each account has a numeric user ID assigned when created, which cannot be changed. Only your username, first and last names and email address are accessible to Spirit Medical staff. When you log in to, we set up a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. Our core website is built on a WordPress platform, using WooCommerce. We have also included several plugins when creating our website. Website hosting is managed by our in-house team and the data centre of SiteGround. This includes website hosting, backups, web database, file storage, APIs, and log files. 

If you are a registered user or have left reviews or comments on you can request to see the data we hold about you. Typically, for visitors that have left reviews or comments, the data will be their email address, any IP addresses assigned to them at the time of leaving the review and the user agent strings of the browsers they used. For registered users, this will also include profile information and download, payment, and any support histories.
