Charity statement

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” – BARACK OBAMA

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – NELSON MANDELA

These are two very inspiring quotes from two of the most influential and well-respected leaders that the world has been blessed with. Their philosophies reflect those of the Spirit Group, namely, they care, they don’t wait, they get involved and they try to help make difficult situations more bearable.

We are proud to support a number of amazing charities with grants and donations as well as research projects in the field of children’s brain tumour treatment in the name of THE CONNOR FELLOWS CHARITY FOUNDATION.

It’s a startling fact that more children die from brain tumours than any other cancer, yet brain tumour research receives less than 1% of the UK’s cancer funding. Children with brain tumours must fight two battles – first for their lives, and second against the life-long disabilities caused by this devastating disease.

For over 20 years, world-leading researchers and clinicians at the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC) at the University of Nottingham have been working tirelessly to stop brain tumours from shattering the lives of children and their families. Whilst diagnosis times in the UK have halved over recent years, there is much more that still needs to be done.
