Spirit Medical AirGuard® Smart Gravity IV Administration Sets help reduce the risk of air embolism with an innovative technology contained in our specially designed drip chamber that will STOP the infusion automatically and prevent any air entering the infusion line once the infusion container/bag and the drip chamber become empty.

• Spirit Medical AirGuard® also acts as a particle filter with a filtration efficiency of 15um. 

Saving clinician’s time during IV container change-over: 

• Every Spirit Medical AirGuard® Gravity IV Administration Set also includes an 
  “IV STOP” pinch-clamp to facilitate a quick and safe infusion stop whilst changing of infusion container. 

Making priming quick, efficient and free of fluid spills: 

• Every Spirit Medical AirGuard® IV administration set is provided with EasyPrime cap. In priming the set, you can rely on the EasyPrime cap to surely and automatically stop the flow of fluid when the set is fully primed. This makes priming quick, efficient and free of fluid spills, allowing you more time for other aspects of patient care. 

Ensuring IV medication fluids are delivered safely and reliably in most clinical settings: 

• Calibrated drip chamber for 20 drops per ml (also available as 60 drops per ml) 
• Filtered air vent to allow the use of semi-rigid and rigid fluid containers 
• Standard spike to access any standard IV fluid bag, semi rigid or rigid fluid container 
• Kink resistant tubing – prevents occlusions

Protecting gravity infusions from “backtracking” of IV medications: 

• Spirit Medical AirGuard® IV administration sets are available with a distal luer lock connector with an integrated Anti-Reflux valve to prevent “backtracking” of IV medication fluids or blood from other infusion lines that may be connected to the same patient access point. 

 Comfortable IV fluid delivery access in most clinical settings including Operating Theatres: 

• Most Spirit Medical AirGuard® IV administration sets are 185cm long allowing the right length of access without the set resting on the floor 
• For specialised settings such as operating theatres, Spirit Medical AirGuard® IV administration sets are available with integrated anti-reflux valve and pre-assembled 3-way stopcock with further 150cm extension set. 

Making it safe, quick and effective to add bolus infusions or other infusion lines: 

• Spirit Medical AirGuard® IV administration sets are available with integrated SecureConnect® needle-free luer access port (Y-site). This port features a flat, smooth swabable split septum that automatically closes. SecureConnect® needle-free withstands 600 actuations. 

 Ergonomic design, easy to hold and easy to use   

• “IV Stop” pinch-clamp is included to make opening or closing of clamps easy with one hand 
• The roller clamp is made to comfortably and accurately control and adjust the flow of medication
