Technical Overview
Sizes and Flow Rates
The MedFuser® FastFlow range of elastomeric pumps provides a flexible solution for short-term/rapid antibiotic infusions and hydration therapies, delivering safe infusions throughout the hospital and beyond.
MedFuser® FastFlow Ambulatory Elastomeric Infusion Pumps are available in six sizes from 60 ml to 600 ml, with each pump size available with a choice of fixed infusion flow rates from 50 ml/h to 250 ml/h.
The highly portable, lightweight and robust construction provides a patient-friendly experience optimised for high mobility when supporting multiple therapies, including Antibiotic therapies, Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapies (OPAT) and Hydration.
Advancing patient safety
MedFuser® FastFlow pumps combine a number of elements to provide safe and effective infusions: robust, UV light-shielded outer housing to protect infusate, accurate fluid level indicator, 1.2 micron (µm) particle filter, air-eliminating filter, kink-resistant tubing and advanced flow control capillary. All of our pumps are clearly identified to ensure that the right device is used for the right therapy and right patient. The pump materials are non-DEHP and latex-free.

Advancing patient safety through high performance and evolved features:
- Robust, UV light-shielded outer housing to protect infusate
- Accurate fluid level indicator providing precise indication of medication to be infused
- Kink-resistant tubing to help protect against the risk of interruption of flow
- Luer connector for universal and reliable connection to appropriate access catheters and cannulas
- Non-DEHP and latex-free
- Advanced flow control capillary
- All of our pumps are clearly identified to ensure that the right device is used for the right therapy and right patient.
Integrated air-eliminating and particle filter
The 1.2 μm hydrophilic and 0.2 μm hydrophobic membranes in a single housing automatically stop particles and expel air from the infusion line. Filter construction materials contain no natural rubber, latex or latex derivatives, PVC, hydroxyvinyl chloride, DEHP, BPA or TSE/BSE.
Filling port with a pressure-activated valve
Convenient and safe filling port with an integrated one-way valve, ensuring a secure filling process. Composed of a sonically welded, DEHP-free thermoplastic body and a latex-free silicone diaphragm. Fully compliant with standard ISO 80369-7 and made from materials approved to USP Class IV standards.
Distal cap with a hydrophobic valve provided with all MedFuser® pumps
Enables safe and confident priming of the patient line without the risk of fluid spills or medication exposure. The 0.2 μm hydrophobic membrane automatically stops fluid once the patient line is fully primed.
Integrated hanger and clip
Enables quick and secure mounting and positioning of MedFuser® FastFlow pumps.
