MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit
Portable Elastomeric Infusion Pump with MultiFlow Patient Control Analgesia Module
MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit Portable Elastomeric Pump is a single-use, fixed-rate, Patient Control Analgesia (PCA) infusion ambulatory pump with an NRFit connector and MultiFlow adjustable PCA control module, designed to deliver fluid medication safely, accurately and silently without any external sources of power.
MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps allow the patient to receive a dose of pain medication on demand, in addition to the underlying adjustable basal infusion of pain medication drug, by pressing a button on a PCA control module provided with the pump.
When selecting the specific MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pump model from our MedFuser® portfolio, clinicians choose the device with a MultiFlow control module that can deliver their preferred range of adjustable basal rates. Additionally, clinicians can choose a demand bolus volume and maximum bolus frequency (lock-out time) to ensure safe and controlled patient use. This enables clinicians to adjust the basal infusion rate at any stage of infusion to suit individual patient needs, using the MultiFlow control module with a detachable key.

Flexibility in patient care delivered by MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps
Supporting many pain management therapies, clinical scenarios and patient populations.
Compatible with all key routes of fluid administration for Pain Management
Including: Intravenous, Subcutaneous, Epidural and Wound Infusion.
Advancing patient safety
MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps combine a number of elements together to provide safe and effective infusions: Robust, UV light-shielded outer housing, accurate fluid level indicator, two integrated particle and air-eliminating filters, kink-resistant tubing, advanced clinician-adjustable flow control and safe, ergonomic PCA control module. All of our NRFit pumps are clearly identified in yellow to ensure that the right device is used for the right therapy and right patient, providing peace of mind and confidence.
NRFit® connectors designed to enhance patient safety
by reducing the risk of “wrong route” medication errors in administering regional anaesthesia.
Quick and accurate identification
MedFuser® pumps with NRFit connectors feature a distinctive yellow colour across the pump housing, labelling and patient line, including a yellow connector and yellow hydrophobic cap.
Compatible with WoundSoak® CWI
wound catheters to optimise post-operative pain management. WoundSoak® catheters for postoperative continuous infusion fit perfectly onto our MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit portable elastomeric pump. Using the continuous wound infusion technique, anaesthetics and analgesics are infused through a multi-hole catheter directly into the surgical site for optimised postoperative pain relief.
Promotes patient recovery and improves quality of life
by increasing patient mobility whilst removing the inconveniences of electronic pumps.
- Patient Friendly: Silent operation, no beeping or alarms

Peace of mind and confidence
Our specially designed guided balloon, featuring an accurate fluid level indicator, provides clinicians and patients with clarity and reassurance about the progress of the infusion and the remaining amount of drug to be administered.
Ease of filling
Our one-way valve and balloon design make it easy to fill the MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps.
Flexible solution for safe and controlled patient use
by selecting the specific MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pump model from our MedFuser® portfolio, clinicians choose the device with a preferred range of selectable underlying basal infusion rates, demand bolus volume and maximum bolus frequency (lock-out time). In administering pain management therapy, the clinician is able to adjust the basal infusion rate at any stage of infusion to suit individual patient needs, using the MultiFlow control module with a detachable key. At the same time, the patient has the ability to receive an on-demand dose of pain medication.
Ergonomically designed PCA module with integrated MultiFlow control
is designed to comfortably fit in the hand and allow convenient, secure and confident operation. The rate adjustment is easy, comfortable and secure as the module “clicks” at every infusion rate setting. Additionally, each module is equipped with an embedded clip for convenient attachment to a pocket or sleeve.
NRFit® connectors designed to enhance patient safety
by reducing the risk of “wrong route” medication errors in administering regional anaesthesia.

MedFuser® pumps with NRFit connectors feature a distinctive yellow colour across the pump housing, labelling and patient line, including a yellow connector and yellow hydrophobic cap.
Advancing patient safety through high performance and evolved features:
- Robust, UV light-shielded outer housing to protect infusate
- Accurate fluid level indicator providing precise indication of medication to be infused
- Kink-resistant tubing to help protect against the risk of interruption of flow
- Non-DEHP and latex-free
- Advanced, clinician-controlled adjustable basal flow control
- Ergonomic and safe PCA control module
- All of our NRFit pumps are clearly identified in yellow to ensure that the right device is used for the right therapy and right patient, providing peace of mind and confidence.
Two Integrated air-eliminating and particle filters
Every MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit infusion pump is equipped with two integrated air-eliminating and particle filters (one above the PCA module and another below the PCA module). Each of these filters features the 1.2 μm hydrophilic and 0.2 μm hydrophobic membranes in a single housing to automatically stop particles and expel air from the infusion line. Filter construction materials contain no natural rubber, latex or latex derivatives, PVC, hydroxyvinyl chloride, DEHP, BPA or TSE/BSE.
Filling port with a pressure-activated valve
Convenient and safe filling port with an integrated one-way valve, ensuring a secure filling process. Composed of a sonically welded, DEHP-free thermoplastic body and a latex-free silicone diaphragm. Fully compliant with standard ISO 80369-7 and made from materials approved to USP Class IV standards.
Distal cap with a hydrophobic valve provided with all MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps
Enables safe and confident priming of the patient line without the risk of fluid spills or medication exposure. The 0.2 μm hydrophobic membrane automatically stops priming fluid once the patient line is fully primed.
Integrated hanger and clip
Enables quick and secure mounting and positioning of MedFuser® PCA MultiFlow NRFit pumps.
